All foods have a place in the eating plan of someone with diabetes. Pizza tends to have more calories than other foods, so plan before you eat it: Thin-crust pizzas have fewer calories and carbohydrates than many thick pizzas.

Ingredients:  Pizza of two cheeses for diabetics

    2 tablespoons whole wheat flour

    Pizza dough

    Vegetable oil spray

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    1⁄2 cup low-fat ricotta cheese

    1⁄2 teaspoon of dried basil

    1 small onion

    2 chopped garlic cloves

    Sodium-free salt

4 ounges of grated semi-decremaso cheese

    2 cups of chopped mushrooms

    1 large red pepper cut into strips

Instructions:  Two cheese pizza for diabetics

     Preheat the oven to 210 ºC

We poured the whole wheat flour over the work area. With the help of a roller we extend the dough until it obtains the desired thickness.

    Spray the vegetable oil on a baking tray. We pass to the tray the pizza dough.

    With the help of a brochita we varnish the dough with olive oil.

Mix the ricotta cheese  with the dried basil, onion, garlic and salt; pour this mixture over the dough.

    Sprinkle the semi-dedescremado mozzarella cheese on the dough, the mushrooms and the red paprika on the cheese.

    Bake until the cheese melts and the dough gets a dark golden color.

    Cut into 8 equal parts.
